Build Engineer
Do you have a passion for supporting development with best in class build and automation tools? Do you get excited about Xbox and Kinect and by the prospect of transforming gaming through efficient and scalable services?
Black Tusk Studios are looking for a driven Build Engineer with a passion for build and automation services. You will have a direct impact on the next generation of great games and experiences built by a talented team of developers. You will contribute to the implementation of a build and automated testing infrastructure for a fast paced and dynamic work environment. You will work closely with the Technical Director, QA Lead, Producers, and developer counterparts from other Microsoft Studios. As a member of the core team you will participate in all aspects of the development cycle and help facilitate communication with your peers and with our partners to ensure our build and test automation tools are thorough and efficient. As an experienced SDE you will work closely with others to challenge and grow junior Engineers and Testers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- At least 2 years of Build & Test Automation experience
- A strong understanding of configuration management and testing methodologies
- A service oriented mindset, you actively help team members build best in class games
- Extensive experience developing build and testing services using web-based technologies
- Prior experience writing test automation performance, and Load/Stress Testing
- Prior experience with relational database systems such as SQL Server
- Demonstrated cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience with agile or scrum development practices
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with developing tools using languages such as C# and Python
NICE TO HAVE:
- Prior experience with all stages of shipping a game: ideation through to post-development DLC
- Experience with C++
- Experience with the Unreal Engine, or similar
- Experience with Azure or similar Cloud Services
- Working knowledge of, or desire to practice, data-science and related machine learning tasks
- Practical experience with telemetry and metrics
- Familiarity with Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE, and XLSP technologies
- Passion for the entertainment and gaming space
