Senior Game Designer
The Senior Game Designer is responsible for developing and communicating the high level design, systems and gameplay experiences of a video game. This may include prototyping, feature design, directing feature development, tuning game experiences and managing project teams.
The Game Designer will partner in the creative processes of concept development and high level design in addition to taking ownership of feature, systems and micro designs. Our ideal candidate must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization, have the ability to report status and present vision and design ideas to various audiences
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Designing game concepts and proposals that reflect a strong knowledge of current market trends, customer expectations and future opportunities
- Collaborate extensively with all members of the team to ensure that all features of the design meet a high quality bar
- Create and update detailed design documents composed of functional, technical, and artistic specifications
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience shipping at least two next generation console or PC video game for Core genre
- 5+ years current game design and production experience
- Solid understanding of game design from a feature and systems perspective
- Experience with wire framing, prototyping and problem solving
- Experience with design and development tools, including Maya (preferred) or other 3D software packages (3D Studio Max), Photoshop, Scripting and MS Office
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and via documentation and follow specific guidelines set forth by team leads and managers
- Problem solve and assist team to meet production schedule with on-time delivery and quality
- Familiar with agile development model
