Then the Software Telemetry and Reporting (STAR) team under Engineering Productivity is the place for you! This team is responsible for feedback for the Windows Phone Ecosystem and to deliver discoverable, actionable metrics from a variety of different data sources. Our charter includes the E2E solution for reporting of crashes (Mobile Watson), and feedback initiated by the self-host users, deliver metrics which are discoverable through reporting.

The Opportunity:
The STAR team is looking for a motivated SDET (Software Design Engineer in Test) dedicated to delivering high-quality, highly efficient, and totally awesome tool to gather the feedback from our self-host users in order to improve the quality of the product we are shipping. Responsibilities include planning, design review, testing, driving tasks to completion by collaborating with other partner teams, pioneering new testing methodologies, helping define engineering excellence processes, and writing solid, well-designed C++ and C# test automation.

To be successful in this team you should have extensive development and test automation experience. We have a highly technical team that digs deep and tackles the hard issues. In this role your solid cross discipline collaboration skills will enable you to work with the PM team, dev counterparts and test peers to create test automation for the current and next version of the Mobile Engineering Feedback Platform and Reporting services for the division.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
2. 3 years of experience developing and testing software
3. Strong coding skills in C#/C++/C or other OO language
4. Strong problem solving, testing and debugging skills
5. Good communication and cross-group collaboration skills
6. Ability to work both independently and collectively in a fun team environment
7. High capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and engineering processes quickly

Desired qualifications:
The following will be considered a plus:
1. Knowledge of Database technologies (SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS)
2. Knowledge of Mobile devices, Platform Builder, Remote Tools
3. Familiarity with object-model based automation
