The South Central District has an immediate opening for an Account Technology Specialist located in Austin or San Antonio, Texas. The Account Technology Specialist (ATS) is the Account Team member assigned to managing the IT relationship in 33 Enterprise customers in San Antonio (15), Austin (11) and Houston (7). The ATS provides oversight for all of the technical pre-sales resources working in CAS accounts in a territory, and coordinates the technical aspects of both the Relationship Management and Opportunity Management processes. The ATS drives the core infrastructure specifically around Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, ISA Server, and Management Servers (MOM & SMS) as well as NT4 migrations and security mobilization & readiness for the territory.
As an ATS you will work with both business and technical decision makers in a pre-sales capacity. The ATS serves as a key player in a virtual team; responsible for enhancing the technical relationships with the account including partners, product teams, Solution Specialists, Microsoft Consulting and others. Teamed with the Account Executive and US Headquarters Sales Rep, they will be responsible for the account planning and support necessary to achieve the revenue and growth goals of the segment. The ATS will also develop and maintain relationships with senior-level technical decision makers, analyze business strategies and obstacles in order to propose sound technical solutions, contribute to a high-caliber virtual team, and share best practices.
The successful candidate will have technical expertise, effective communication abilities, persuasive presentation skills, and superior customer focus. The ATS serves as a key player on the sales team, educating the customer on the value of a Microsoft Solution and delivering a positive experience through onsite discussions, briefings, evaluations and Proof-of-Concepts and impeccable follow through.
Responsibilities:
You will combine consultative, technical and business acumen to provide solution for your customers based on Microsoft technologies to meet your Windows Server System revenue goals. You will team with Sales Representatives, Solution Specialists, Partners, ISV's, Microsoft Consulting Services and Marketing to meet customer needs.
Qualifications include: 7+ Years technical pre-sales or consultative experience. A practical knowledge of Windows Server and competitive solutions including Active Directory design and implementation and infrastructure management will be necessary. Strong Security skills and previous Linux experience is a plus. Candidates should also be knowledgeable in strategic planning, risk analysis and business justification. Candidates should also possess strong collaborative teaming abilities, exceptional leadership skills, and have a strong commitment to customer service. Solid verbal and presentation skills are required. Candidate will be required to travel.
