This is a Shanghai, China based position.
The System Center Configuration Manager Sustained Engineering (SCCM SE) team is responsible for ensuring that our customers are completely satisfied with our in market product line. This satisfaction is achieved in many ways. Our primary responsibility is to provide ongoing code maintenance for Configuration Management products and this requires a cross-discipline skill set in many different technologies. SCCM SE is also responsible for developing, testing, and releasing service packs and update rollups. We're called upon to collaborate with our support organization in resolving complex technical issues. We have accountability for many cutting edge management technologies such as mobile device management and operating system deployment. We manage every aspect of Windows systems. With configuration management being an integral part in helping customers to reduce total cost of ownership, our group is more important than ever. This is an exciting time to be in the System Center group and configuration management.
SCCM SE is in the position to hire an extremely talented senior development lead to manage our team in Shanghai. You will be part of an equally talented and fun team. The successful candidate must be accountable for team leadership, have a solid understanding of the connection to customer and solve problems for customer/partner, effectively optimize resources to address team commitments, possess good troubleshooting skills, a demonstrated ability to utilize debugging technologies, knowledge of Windows Server and Client operating systems, and SQL systems architecture. Qualified individuals will have a strong customer focus; familiarity with software engineering principles; be able to ask defining questions, analyze, assist with and drive customer issues; prioritize and handle multiple tasks competently. Prior experience in software maintenance or customer support is desirable. Knowledge of Configuration Manager or Systems Management Server architecture would be a plus but is not required.

•Work effectively cross-team and across multiple organizations within & outside of Configure Manager Sustained Engineering.
•Provide technical leadership to the team.
•Interaction with support, field, and our customers on product and technical issues.
Qualifications:
•Passion for product quality and excellence in software engineering
•Strong management, team building, and people skills
•Superior communications skills, both verbal and written.
•Demonstrated cross-group and influence skills
•Good customer support skills
•Extensive knowledge and experience in advanced debugging and problem solving techniques.
•Extensive software design and development skills/experience with C/C++/C# (minimum 5 years, preferred: 7 years).
