The Interactive Entertainment Business (IEB) includes Xbox, PC, and mobile gaming as well as the Zune service, TV and media platforms and other assorted efforts, all driving over a billion dollars in profitability. Within IEB, the IEB Security team is charged with ensuring the trustworthiness of products we build in IEB and protecting Microsoft's and our publishers' revenue streams from piracy. We are looking for someone to join our high caliber team of security experts as we continue to build security and anti-piracy capabilities across Xbox, Kinect™, Xbox Live, and Microsoft's entertainment content and experiences.
The areas of work for this position span from interfacing with the hardware components on the console, security/AP features in the Xbox hypervisor, boot loader and kernel, to security features in the cloud service in order to complement console security capabilities. We are a small and fast moving team working on the leading edge of hardware/software security and anti-piracy measures. Qualifications:
• 5+ years C/C++
• Strong assembly language skills
• Previous experience in a product development role developing high quality production ready code, strongly preferred.
• Strong familiarity with OS fundamentals and debugging skills, strongly preferred.
• Excellence in software engineering practices, planning, and delivering on schedule, strongly preferred.
• Experience working on security, anti-piracy, or DRM technologies strongly preferred
• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred
