The Xbox team that shipped Kinect, the revolutionary device for rich game and entertainment experiences and the hottest selling consumer electronics device with over 18 million units sold, is continuing to build the software components at the core of this growing business and is looking for strong SDETs. The Accessories Feature team is looking for a strong candidate who loves dealing with low level code, who jumps for joy looking at embedded functionality and who cares deeply about quality and automation. Responsibilities include:
Own the quality of one or more feature areas
Identify, design and implement automation tools
Collaborate with feature area Devs and PMs
Collaborate with partner teams
Write test specifications
Design and implement test cases
Carry out product testing according to test plan and team goals
Identify product defects and track to their appropriate resolution
Provide feedback on key user scenarios, functional and technical designs, and specifications.
Contribute to product test planning
Qualifications:
6+ years of product development and testing experience
Strong C/C++ development and/or debugging skills
Experience through the full product life cycle.
A BA/BS in Computer Science or related degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of test methodologies and techniques
Experience with creating and enhancing existing automation systems
Examples of successful implementation of solutions to difficult product quality challenges
Utilization and evangelism of testing best practices
Able to work independently or with a team with minimal supervision
Familiar with test-driven development
Strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
Self-disciplined and detail oriented
