Are you a gamer? An indie game developer? Do you want to learn more about how a game like Halo gets from the developer to your Xbox? Even better, do you want to be part of making it happen? Maybe you can, because the XNA Publishing Platform team is hiring.
As a product group we interact with everyone in the game ecosystem from developers and publishers, to business and marketing groups
Some of the projects our team owns:
-- XNA Creators Club Online
-- Xbox LIVE Indie Games
-- Next-gen professional game-developer web portal
-- Concept submission and title creation tools and processes for new games
-- Content ingestion (hauling big bits around)
-- Xbox Development Kit components
We are looking for an experienced software developer to join our team as we craft a next-gen publishing platform. This platform fuels our mission to be "the global leader in interactive entertainment.” We are building new systems ranging from front-end web applications to back-end scalable servers, as well as client-side applications. This is a high-visibility role and a chance to work cross-collaboratively with other XNA and games teams to help pave the way for innovations like the XNA Creators Club, New Xbox Experience (NXE), and other cool stuff we can't tell you about until you're on the team!
Prerequisite experience (all of the following):
-- 3+ years Object-oriented development in C/C++/C#
-- ASP.NET
-- Completed at least one full product cycle / shipping cycle
-- SharePoint 2007 development
-- Client side scripting (Javascript, AJAX)
-- Open mind, critical thinking
-- Can-do attitude
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
-- Multi-tier enterprise systems
-- Current-generation security practices and systems
-- Applications development using SQL Server backend
-- API design
-- Game development
-- Database design and programming
-- BS/BA in Computer Science or equal experience preferred
