Want to work hands-on with the top games on Xbox 360 and Windows? Interested in innovating on and influencing the next generation of game platforms and technology? The XNA Developer Connection (XDC) team is looking for experienced game developers who want to broaden their impact across the entire games industry.
XDC works directly with game developers and platform teams to provide deep performance analysis, advanced code samples and white papers. We get to work with some of the most advanced hardware on the planet and solve mind-bending problems on a daily basis.
Responsibilities include working directly with game developers to solve their most challenging issues, creating technology exploitative samples, writing technical white papers, and speaking at game developer events. These activities also involve direct collaboration with Microsoft product teams to help shape and define new features and enhancements in the Xbox 360 software and hardware as well as in Windows.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience and deep expertise in Xbox or Windows game development; 10 + years preferred.
C/C++ proficiency
Experience developing high performance networking, graphics or audio code on one or more game titles
Ability to work effectively with a team of high-caliber engineers.
Experience developing one or more released games for Xbox, Xbox 360, or Windows.
Problem solving, presentation skills and effective one-on-one communication are required.
Experience in any the following areas is a plus: Xbox LIVE, game audio, D3D11, Xbox 360 graphics, game networking, performance optimization. The job entails some domestic and international travel, typically two or three trips per year.
