As a Software Development Engineer in Test in Windows Live – you're an engineer who likes to break things and stress the limits. You'll be responsible for writing production-quality code, creating tools & automation, enhancing our test infrastructure, driving innovative code to improve process & efficiency, and performing ad hoc, manual, and automated testing. You will own features within your area and partner with Developers & Program Managers to measure and drive quality across the product – interacting with customers, dog-fooders, and beta testers all along the way. In addition, you are involved with code reviews & code coverage, buddy testing, and work collaboratively to resolve issues both within your team and across the broader organization.
Our team is looking for intellectual, passionate engineers, with a penchant for quality and delivering a customer experience bar none. We currently have openings across the team both for Win32 & Web Service based features– and believe strongly in maximizing potential & matching candidates to the right opportunity; Rather than adhering to any preset notion or rigor. We are a team that values horsepower & drive over specific skills or technology. Its concepts, not code. What you've written in isn't as important as the quality of that code or the challenges you can solve.
