Low level Software Developer with a passion for Hardware - the Windows Embedded CE team could be you new home!
This is a paradise for the right person. You will be developing components at the hardware abstraction layer, device drivers, multimedia, storage, network, power management and more. We port and bring up Windows Embedded CE on a broad range of devices for various new device categories: Portable Navigation Systems, Connected Media Devices, Set-top boxes, to name a few. You will be working with CE middleware teams, the core OS team, different product teams (automotive, robotics) and extensively with our external partners to help them bring products to market.

The consumer and enterprise device market is growing rapidly, and Windows Embedded CE Embedded is well position to capture increasing segments of this market. Our job is to introduce new technologies and empower the vast OEM community to build an amazing variety of Windows Embedded CE based devices.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with different device platforms, dealing with pre-production hardware quality, using platform debugging tools (JTAG, scope, multimeter, protocol analyzer, etc). Experience with embedded processor architectures (ARM, x86, MIPS, SHx). Familiar with Windows Embedded CE in general and Board Support Package (BSP) development in particular. Experience developing device drivers. Familiar with a broad range of device component technologies (networking, USB, audio, video, storage, SATA, etc). Experience optimizing low level components for size, speed and power management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent C/C++ programming skills
A least 3 years of experience in designing and developing software

Proven cross group collaboration skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and motivational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desire to work directly with customers, partners and engage with the OEM developer community
Shipping software products during complete product cycle for at least one commercial product
