The OEM Engineering team within E&D is seeking an experienced SDE to join one of the most exciting efforts in Windows Phone. This is a fast paced engineering team developing partner specific solutions for PC OEMs building cell phones running the next generation of Windows Phone. It is a unique opportunity to work closely with our most important cell phone partners to commercialize their devices.

Responsibilities:
-Participate in all phases of development cycle - Architecture, Design, Implementation, etc.
-Collaborate with internal Program Management and Test Teams, as well as external partners to deliver applications and services
-Collaborate with other teams within the division to deliver shared components
-May require occasional travel to Asia to meet with OEM partners and collaborate with MS development teams

Qualified candidates should posses:
-Passion around mobile technology is a must-have!
-Strong design, coding, and debugging skills
-Minimum 5+ years shipping commercial software, with experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to final product delivery
-Great communication and collaboration skills
-Ability to drive issues to closure in a fast-paced environment
-BA/BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
-Understanding of mobile industry, commercialization, test & certification requirements for mobile phones (preferred)
-Understanding of mobile OS design, mobile phone architecture, release cycle, key performance criteria (preferred)
-Background in development for battery powered (power usage aware) development (preferred)
-Familiarity with Windows Mobile 6.x SDK (preferred)
-Familiarity with Windows Mobile LTK (Logo Test Kit) requirements (preferred)
-Experiences with building service aware client software (preferred)
-Experiences with v1 product/service (preferred)
