Lead Electrical Engineer - Project Natal

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who has a proven track record of leading high volume consumer products to technically lead the end-to-end development of innovative hardware products.
As a senior EE and system engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of product-level hardware engineering related to product design. You will work with our partners and will be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of high volume, consumer-oriented microprocessor and DSP based electrical platforms which also contains audio and video interfaces, Optical system, digital communication interface, high speed serial and parallel buses, analog circuitry and power management system. This includes establishing technical specifications, implementing architectures, working with all development disciplines: Optics, ME, FW and test, identifying and coordinating with development partners, identifying components, Lead and eventually deliver the final manufacturing-ready design.
At the same time, you are challenged to meet program goals for product performance, quality and reliability goals, safety/compliance regulatory requirements, product cost, and schedule.
Qualified Candidate must have track record in designing and developing high volume consumer electronics products must have complete end to end product development cycle experience. Candidates should also have a broad understanding of PC or game console architecture, extensive knowledge of hardware product development processes and quality requirements of consumer electronic products, hands on experience on designing high speed digital circuitry and computer motherboard type of products, good knowledge on hardware testing, and familiar with high volume manufacturing process and test.
In addition, a successful candidate will have effective written and oral communication skills, very good cross-organizational and project management skills. A bachelor degree in engineering field and 10+ years of hardware design experience is required. Previous experience in PC or game console and deep understanding of human input devices is a big plus.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Technical lead and system engineer for the product.
Lead and execute the development to deliver in spec, in schedule, a safe, reliable, compliant, high-quality, and secure product for high volume mass production.
Hardware selection and implementation
Define detailed specification and documentation of the design and implementation
Manage EE team to design electrical circuitry that involve microprocessor, data bus, DDR memory, and flash device
Making technical decisions and trade-offs.
Applying best practices of Development and engineering processes.
Technical coach and lead junior engineers.
Present and document technical and program reviews/status to Senior Management.
Required Skills
BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MSEE preferred)
10+ years experience as an electrical engineer or system engineer for 5-7 product development cycles. Technical lead for 2-3 product cycles.
Experience designing high volume consumer products including integration of hardware (electrical, mechanical, and optics) and firmware with computer interaction.
Demonstrated leadership in working through complex problems in a multi disciplinary environment.
Demonstrated hardware engineering experience with microprocessor based systems and the ability to move from high level vision, to design to implementation
Demonstrated experience in integrating with cross functional groups including manufacturing, test, reliability, quality, ID, and compliance.
Knowledge and experience with broad range of technologies such as USB, Video, Audio, Wi-Fi, Optics, ASICs.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills
Demonstrated competencies in customer focused innovation, technical excellence, strategic insight, impact and influence across a product group or beyond, and passion for quality.
