The Premier Field Engineering team provides world-wide technical support for Microsoft's Premier customers through onsite and remote support services. As a part of the Customer Service and Support (CSS) organization, PFE partners with Commercial Technical Support (CTS) and Enterprise Services to drive customer health and strengthen Microsoft technology adoption. PFEs act as the primary onsite technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical troubleshooting support and problem resolution for Product Support Services and corporate customers, including issues escalated to the highest levels of management.
For this position the candidate should have Team Founder Server/Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) experience specifically with Microsoft's Visual Studio ALM products.
Typical tasks performed in this role include:
•Specific problem isolation and correction
•Migration and installation assistance
•Configuration management, pre-rollout testing
•Conducting deployment and supportability reviews
•Branching guidance, training on the ALM tools and ALM process across all phase of the development process - Architecture, Development, Test, and Deployment.
•Provide on-site technical support for Team Foundation Server/ Application Lifecycle Management
•Work with Microsoft support engineers using knowledge of your customer’s environment to accelerate problem resolution.
•Delivery proactive onsite support/Workshops/consulting and knowledge transfer to the customer.
•Maintain deep knowledge of latest products and application development processes of customers by continuously increasing technical knowledge.
•Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by offering exceptional customer service.
Required Skills and Experience:
•Knowledge and/or experience with the following technologies:
oTeam Foundation Server- Visual Studio and .NET Framework (C#/VB), Internet Information Server (IIS) - Microsoft SQL Server (Analysis Services, Reporting Services) - Sharepoint.
•Practical experience with common development processes (Scrum/Agile, CMMI, etc.).
•MCPD, MCSD, MCAD qualifications or job experience
•Experience delivering and/or authoring technical training.
•College degree, preferably in Computer Sciences or a related field of study. (Will consider relevant equivalent experience.
•Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision.
•Face-to-face customer engagement skills
•Relevant experience supporting Enterprise customers
•Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
•Fluency in English and Swedish (non-fluent Swedish speakers may be considered)
•Awareness of corporate environments and their business requirements.
•Ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, being available 24x7 and professionally communicating to all parties involved.
