Come join our team and help to build the US Telemarketing strategy for Microsoft. The North American Central Marketing Group is looking for an experienced marketer that understands how to build and drive effective telemarketing programs targeted at Microsoft’s partners and business customers within the Managed Teleservices program (MTP). This is a high impact position that will require excellent cross-collaboration skills and somebody who is able to effectively engage with external vendors.
This role manages a vendor based tele-qualification team that is dedicated to increasing revenue by qualifying inbound leads and identifying sales opportunities for Microsoft sales teams and partners. This role maximizes performance, and reduces cost and risk by identifying and implementing process improvements and call strategies. The role acts as a Subject Matter Expert for US marketing teams to ensure their campaigns generate optimal pipeline. The role also is responsible for engaging with the sales and partner channel for feedback on opportunity quality and needs
Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
1. Manage a vendor based tele-qualification team to qualify inbound marketing leads prior to routing to sales teams or partners.
2. Act as a subject matter expert for US marketing teams to ensure their campaigns generate optimal pipeline by leveraging tele-qualification
3. Engage with sales and partner channel to gather feedback and optimize lead quality
4. Work directly with US marketers and the US Central Marketing team to integrate tele-qualification into their programs and manage capacity for team
5. Communicate with executive stakeholders on a regular basis to build and drive effective programs, communicate best practices, and optimize return on telemarketing investment
6. Participate in scheduled weekly, monthly and strategic business reviews with MTP Vendors.
7. Drive adoption of the Managed Teleservices Program across marketing and sales team
Success in this position depends on cross group collaboration and having a quality customer service mindset. Excellent people skills and communication abilities, both verbal and written, are a must. Must be able to meet deadlines and work effectively on a small team.
You will be accountable to senior leadership and will be required to provide regular executive updates and presentations with emphasis on KPIs against forecasted service levels and the business explanations behind success or shortfalls in all focus areas.
Your success will be dependent on your ability to work with a virtual team across the company to make sure we are building the correct support, measurement and tools to achieve our revenue ambitions and execution goals. You must be action and detail oriented with experience in sales and marketing including solid experience and demonstrated success in working with cross-organizational teams to achieve superior results. The ability to multi-task and manage projects under pressure along with an unwavering persistence, commitment, passion, and optimism for this work is essential.
Qualifications include a BA/BS with at least 5 years technology industry experience, including 5-10 years of marketing experience including the planning and execution of Telemarketing campaigns. MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred. Sales experience a plus.
