The Mobile Device Strategy & Commercialization (MDSC) organization focuses on working with Mobile Operators and OEMs to bring new mobile devices to market. Within MDSC, our Platform team is looking ahead at new and innovative mobile hardware and building the low-level software to get it up and running on Microsoft technology.

Our day-to-day development tasks include modifying BSPs for new devices, developing and debugging device drivers and other low-level software on Windows Mobile, working with our hardware partners to better support their hardware and devices, and creating tools to verify device compliance on the production line while coordinating with a broad set of teams across E&D.

We are looking for a strong SDET who is passionate about the next wave of our devices and taking a driving role to create new mobile devices for consumers.

Responsibilities:
*Own several areas including different drivers
*Architect and build different tools to be used in the measure of quality of the devices in different stages from manufacturing to retail stores
*Participate in the device and driver bring-up end-to-end from the manufacturing floor to having the device ready

Qualifications:
*BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience
*4+ years of SDE or SDET experience
*Strong coding, troubleshooting and debugging skills (5+ years experience coding in C/C++)
*3 years minimum experience with driver-level software
*Some hardware experience
*Passion for consumer-focused products and technologies
*Strong drive for results

Helpful, but not required:
*Experience with embedded device programs such as Windows Mobile or WinCE
